Chemical Peels: a Method to Rejuvenate the Skin

Overview The demand for facial skin rejuvenation has seen recent, unprecedented growth. As people have become more aware about their cosmetic appearance, there has been a greater demand for newer technologies for treating aged and actinically damaged facial skin. Despite various methods available, the use of chemical peeling agents continues to be the gold standard. Chemical peeling is a procedure where a chemical exfoliating agent is applied to the skin to destruct portions of epidermis and/or dermis with subsequent regeneration and rejuvenation of the tissues. It is mostly used for cosmetic improvement of skin or for treatment of some skin disorders.
